The project that this feedback is for:
NovelStream
Dear VisualNovelDai staff,

I'm having problem while trying to creat image asset. As i can see there's no tutorial about this yet so i "figured" it out by giving several tries.

This is how i created an image asset:

- Click on an image in the Media browser
- In the [Properties - Image] panel, select named image mode and give it an unique id
- In the [Asset library], i can already see the asset with the given id
- Then click [Save and Edit] on top of the page

However, when i open the [Asset library] again after saving the project, all the assets' name were set to 'undefined'

I can see a little pencil icon when i hover my mouse over the asset - this must be the edit function. I clicked it and give the asset an id again, but then i couldn't save my changes in any way.

I've tried on my Chrome 7, Firefox 3.6, Firefox 4 beta 6, still no luck.

Did i do something wrong in the process?

Regard,

Vuong.

Thank you for the clear feedback.

Very nice that you figured out many things by yourself.

Editing the image name was indeed bugged, it's now been fixed.

I cannot reproduce the problem with assets becoming 'undefined'.

Please let me know if it happens again.

Thanks, it's now working fine. It's turned out that i've given the asset a wrong name, something like "img-prologue" (i haven't read the naming rule up until now, stupid me :( However, even with a wrong name like that, i still can apply [image command] to the asset. Things've worked fine until i clicked [Save and Edit].

I think the NovelStream should have input-validation functionality implemented to avoid stupid questions like this :(

Vuong.

Thank you for your report. Support for names with dashes have been implemented.
